New Hero Karizma XMR name trademarked; likely to launch soon
Hero MotoCorp has filed a trademark for the Karizma XMR and Karizma XMR 210 in India, hinting that the Karizma could make a comeback soon. These trademarks leaked on the internet. This news has come amid circulating rumours about Hero reviving the Karizma.
New Hero Karizma XMR and Karizma XMR 210: Details
The recently leaked trademark documents reveal the full name of the upcoming Karizma, that is, the Karizma XMR and XMR 210. If these names are to go by, the new Karizma XMR might be offered in a choice of two distinctive variants. Moreover, the Karizma XMR with the numeric 210 in the name also hints at its engine displacement.
New Hero Karizma XMR and Karizma XMR 210: Engine
It is believed that the new Karizma could be powered by a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. It is hard to say at the moment whether the new Karzma would use a newly developed engine for the motorcycle.
For reference, the old Hero Honda Karizma R was powered by a 223cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine paired with a five-speed gearbox. This motor produced 17PS and 18.3Nm of torque.
New Hero Karizma XMR and Karizma XMR 210: Design
The new Karizma XMR and XMR 210 are expected to draw their design inspiration from the old Karizma R, which gained enormous popularity back in its days. The new Karizma could bear a sporty and youthful design language, comprising a full-body fairing, a small windscreen, a sculpted fuel tank, and perhaps a clip-on handlebar.
New Hero Karizma XMR and Karizma XMR 210: India launch and Prices
The new Karizma XMR and XMR 210 are expected to be launched in India sometime later this year. Notably, the prices could range between Rs 1.70 lakh and Rs 1.90 lakh.
