New Hero Xtreme 160R 4V bookings open today
Hero MotoCorp launched the new Xtreme 160R 4V in India yesterday, 14 June, 2023, with prices starting at Rs 1,27,300 (ex-showroom). Now, the two-wheeler manufacturer has also opened bookings for the new naked motorcycle. Prospective customers can also reserve their Xtreme 160R 4V via the official Hero MotoCorp website. Interestingly, customers bookings the bike until 30 June, 2023, will receive a Dragster Jacket. The booking amount is Rs 2,600. Notably, Hero will start deliveries of the motorcycle in the second week of July.
New Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Variants and coloursHero offers the new Xtreme 160R 4V in three variants: Standard, Connected, and Pro. It is available in a choice of three dual-tone shades: Matte Slate Black, Neon Shooting Star, and Blazing Sports Red.
New Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Engine and performanceThe new Xtreme 160R 4V gets a new 163.2cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled, four-valve engine generating 16.9PS at 8,500rpm and 14.6Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. This motor is coupled to a five-speed gearbox. With this, Hero claims that the new Xtreme 160R 4V is the fastest 160cc motorcycle in terms of acceleration, such as 0-60kmph and 0-100kmph. It also claimed to have the highest top speed in the segment.
It is to be noted that the Xtreme 160R 2V makes 15.2PS and 14Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the new 163.2cc meets the new BS6.2 (OBD.2) emission regulations and is compatible with E20 fuel.
New Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Prices And RivalsThe Standard variant is priced at Rs 1,27,300 (ex-showroom), while the Connected variant costs Rs 1,32,800 (ex-showroom). Whereas, the top-spec Pro variant is priced at Rs 1,36,500 (ex-showroom). The new Xtreme 160R rivals the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 and Bajaj Pulsar N160/Pulsar NS160.
New Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Hardware And FeaturesThe feature-list on the Xtreme 160R include a 37mm KYB front upside-down forks, all-LED lights, a new digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, and Hero Connect 2.0 support comprising over 20 features. The bike continues with a seven-step adjustable Showa mono shock, a 276mm and 220mm front and rear single disc brakes, and a single-channel ABS setup.
