New Kia Soul: The compact urban crossover to be unveiled at Frankfurt
Kia will unveil the second generation Soul, in Europe, at the upcoming 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show. The Soul is Kia's compact urban crossover. It will go on sale across Europe early next year.
Powertrain options in the car include, Kia's 1.6-litre GDi petrol and CRDi diesel engines, as well as six-speed manual and automatic transmissions. Both engines are carried over from the outgoing model but feature improved efficiency with lower emissions. The 2014 Soul gets an all-new platform, based on the latest Kia Cee'd, which improves the ride and handling, and delivers a more polished drive behaviour.
The Soul has an upright stance, square-ish shoulders, high-mounted tail lights and SUV-like ride height. Optionally, there is an SUV Styling Pack available which features jet black bumper trim, side skirts, wheel arches and a black painted roof.
Front LED daytime running lights, xenon headlights, rear LED 'halo' lights, keyless entry and push-button engine start, automatic climate control, cruise control, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated front and rear seats, panoramic glass sunroof and heated and electrically folding exterior mirrors are some of the features provided in the new Soul.
