New KTM 390 Adventure to feature cruise control

KTM North America recently held its 19th annual KTM Adventure Rider Rally in Deadwood, South Dakota, where the upcoming 2025 390 Adventure was spotted featuring cruise control. KTM is gearing up to unveil a range of new models, including the 1390 and 990, with the 2025 390 Adventure expected to be showcased at EICMA 2024.

The cruise control feature on the 2025 390 Adventure was revealed through photos of its updated switchgear that surfaced online. The left-hand switchgear includes an start/stop switch for cruise control, along with a '+/Res' button to adjust speed. This addition would be useful for long-distance riders. The right-hand switchgear resembles that of the new 390 Duke. Although cruise control was highly anticipated for the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, it was absent at its launch. However, with ride-by-wire technology now included, Royal Enfield could introduce it in the future.

The 2025 390 Adventure will feature a new design, chassis, and engine, likely shared with the 390 Duke. Multiple variants are expected, catering to different rider preferences and price points. The 390 Duke currently comes with a 398.15cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 46PS at 8,500rpm and 39.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. For the 390 Adventure, the engine and gear ratios are expected to be tuned differently for adventure riding.

KTM is also likely to equip the 2025 390 Adventure with features similar to the 390 Duke, such as all-LED lighting, a new TFT display with Bluetooth, dual-channel and switchable ABS, traction control, cornering ABS, riding modes, fully adjustable suspension, and an updated braking system.
