New Maruti Suzuki Dzire spotted testing in India
The next-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire was recently spotted undergoing testing in the snowy regions of India, signalling significant updates for the sedan. The upcoming new sedan is anticipated to undergo a comprehensive overhaul and may share design cues and components with the new-gen Swift.
Spy images hint at a redesigned exterior for the Dzire, featuring a distintive fascia with a hexagonal-shaped grille and a flatter bonnet. The presence of cameras beneath the ORVMs suggests the possibility of a 360-degree camera setup, along with potential additions, such as LED headlamps, new taillamps, and updated alloy wheels. Speculations also hint at the inclusion of an electric sunroof.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: InteriorExpectations for the interior include a refreshed layout with a dual-tone theme, possibly accompanied by a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a semi-analogue instrument cluster. Other expected features comprise a wireless charging pad, Type-C USB ports, connected car technology, powered ORVMs with auto-fold function, automatic temperature control, and a host of safety features such as six airbags, ESC, TPMS, hill hold assist, telematics, and ventilated seats.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Powertrain
While the international variant of the new-gen Swift is equipped with a new Z12E series 1.2-litre, inline three-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid functionality, the current Swift and Dzire models in India are powered by a 1.2-litre, inline four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. That being said, the new Dzire may retain this engine or possibly receive a similar powertrain to the new Swift.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: PricingWith the current Dzire priced between Rs 6.57 lakh and Rs 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom), it is anticipated that the new-generation Dzire could start from Rs 7 lakh and extend up to Rs 10.50-11 lakh.
