New Maruti Suzuki Swift fuel efficiency figures revealed
Maruti Suzuki has been launched in India and its prices start at Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom). The new generation hatchback is offered in five variants: LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+ across various paint schemes, inclduing two new colours, namely Luster Blue and Novel Orange. Above all, the official fuel economy figures of the both manual and automatic transmission options have also been revealed.
The new Swift comes powered by a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated Z12E petrol engine producing 81.58PS at 5,700rpm and 111.7Nm of torque at 4,300rpm. This motor is coupled to a five-speed manual and an AMT. Notably, this engine claimed to be 14 per cent more economical over its predecessor. It gives out a mileage of 24.80kmpl with a manual gearbox version and promises 25.75kmpl with the AMT transmission.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Highlights
The key highlights of the new Swift include projector headlamps with integrated DRLs, 15-inch alloy wheels, nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch multi-info display, wireless charging pad, Suzuki connect with over 40 features, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Arkamys sound system, USB Type-C and Type-A ports, cruise control, hill hold assist, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), and six airbags, which are standard across all variants.
Customers can also own the new Swift with the Maruti Suzuki Subscribe programme, where they will have to pay a monthly subscription fee starting from Rs 17,436.
