New Nissan X-Trail bookings to open from July 26
The Nissan X-Trail is returning to India after a whole decade and interested customers can book this 4th generation of the X-Trail from July 26 for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. The 3-row SUV will come via the CBU route and will be priced above Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom).
The X-Trail has been a huge success for Nissan globally. Currently, the car is available in over 150 markets and has achieved a milestone with over 7.8 million X-Trails sold worldwide since its inception. Frank Torres, Divisional Vice President AMIEO Region Business Transformation & President of Nissan India Operations said, "The official introduction of the all-new 4th generation Nissan X-Trail marks the relaunch of the CBU business for the brand in India. This launch is a significant milestone in line with our new brand strategy for India and gives India access to the best of Nissan's global SUV portfolio for the discerning Indian customer."
The India-specific X-Trail will get a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 12V mild hybrid technology that powers on the front wheel. Mated to a shift-by-wire CVT transmission it delivers 163PS and 300Nm of torque.
The new X-Trail is based on the Alliance CMF-C platform and measures 4,680 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, 1,725 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,705 mm. Ground clearance is rated at 210 mm. The X-Trail will only be available in India in a 7-seater model. Split-folding, sliding, and reclining are available in 40/20/40 ratios for the second row and 50/50 split-folding and reclining for the third. The X-Trail will be available in just 3 colours: Pearl White, Champagne Silver and Diamond Black.
The inside of the fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail has an all-black layout. The features list includes a floating 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone AC, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, paddle shifters, a wireless charger and sliding and reclining 2nd-row seats. Safety features encompass 7 airbags, limited slip differential, and front and rear parking sensors with a 360-degree camera.
