New Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 launched; prices start at Rs 3.39 lakh

Royal Enfield has introduced the new Interceptor Bear 650 in INDIA. Based on the popular Interceptor 650, the Bear 650 sports a scrambler-style design, distinct components, a redesigned single-piece exhaust, and a revised engine tune.

Royal Enfield INT Bear 650 Design

The Interceptor Bear 650 features bold, vivid paint schemes, available in five color options: Wild Honey, Broadwalk White, Petrol Green, Two Four Nine, and Golden Shadow. Its scrambler-inspired look includes new knobby MRF Nyrolex tyres (which are not tubeless), fitted on spoke wheels, along with a single-piece seat, redesigned rear fender, new LED indicators, and a two-into-one exhaust system.

While the Bear 650 is powered by the same 650cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled SOHC engine as the standard Interceptor 650, it delivers 47.4PS at 7,150rpm and 56.5Nm of torque at 5,150rpm - an eight percent increase in torque compared to the original Interceptor. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Key upgrades on the Interceptor Bear 650 include Showa 43mm upside-down front forks with 130mm of travel and twin shock absorbers at the rear, providing 115mm of travel. The braking system comprises a 320mm disc at the front and a 270mm disc at the rear, equipped with dual-channel, switchable ABS. It also features a four-inch colour TFT dash, similar to the Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450, offering media controls, a USB Type-C port, and all-LED lighting.

With a curb weight of 216kg (with 90 percent of fluids) and ground clearance of 184mm, the Bear 650 also comes with a fuel tank capacity of 13.7 litres.
