New Skoda Vision 7S unveiled with new brand logo
The brand-new Skoda Vision 7S vehicle previews an electric SUV that will be released as part of Skoda's bold aim to introduce three more EVs by 2026. It has a 'six-plus-one' seating arrangement with three rows of two seats and a baby seat set on top of a central spine that runs down the middle of the cabin. It is bigger than the Enyaq, which was highly appreciated by EV purchasers on the worldwide market.
The Volkswagen Group's unique electric MEB platform, which is also utilized by the current Skoda Enyaq iV and Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV, will be used by all three upcoming Skoda vehicles. All of those products will have the fresh design language introduced by the Vision 7S concept, which goes above and beyond the style cues utilized by Skoda's vehicles to include a new corporate identity, a new logo, and even new official colours.
The Skoda design team has designed a solid plastic piece to replace the conventional grille necessary for automobiles with combustion engines. This is where the company's new brand identity is most visibly displayed. The leading edge of the bonnet has Skoda's new corporate design, with the brand's name written out in letters and a flat logo in place of the customary 3D-chrome insignia.
Along the sides, the C-pillars and prominent sills that sit proud of the bottoms of the doors are combined with more use of Skoda's new writing type.
With an 89kWh battery, the concept car should have a range of around 600 km according to WLTP. The Vision 7S "demonstrates the capabilities of the Modular Electrification toolbox," according to Johannes Neft, head of technology at Skoda, and authorities have previously confirmed that the car is built on the same MEB design as everything from the Enyaq to the Cupra Born.
The front row seats may move slightly inboard to better accommodate passengers watching material on the 14.6-inch touchscreen located in the dash. A redesigned two-spoke steering wheel with an 8.8-inch digital instrument screen is mounted behind it.
Backpacks built into the seat backs and extensive use of magnets to hold everything from cellphones to metal water bottles firmly in place are two more cool interior elements. The existing seating arrangement won't likely be used in production; instead, a third seat will likely be added to the centre row to make the vehicle a true seven-seater.
