New spy pictures reveal fresh details about all-new KTM 390 Duke

Although we have already seen several test mules of the new generation KTM 390 Duke, the latest batch of spy pictures has revealed some fresh details about the upcoming streetfighter. The photos provide a sneak peek of the new instrument console and offer a close-up look at the motorcycle. It's worth noting that this generation update is expected to bring significant changes to the upcoming 390 Duke.

Upcoming KTM 390 Duke spied: New details revealed

The all-new 390 Duke, as seen in the latest spy photos, will come with a new display and a fresh user interface. The instrument console will feature a boomerang-shaped tachometer, reminiscent of the Audi RS models. Additionally, the speedometer appears to be positioned in the middle, while other crucial information is displayed on the bottom and right sides. However, it's difficult to determine if KTM has increased the size of the instrument console.

Upcoming KTM 390 Duke spied: Design

In terms of design, the new 390 Duke is likely to have a more aggressive and sporty appearance compared to its predecessor. It is expected to come with a new frame and a gullwing-type aluminum swing arm. The streetfighter's design highlights may include a new split LED headlight, angular daytime running lights, a new LED taillamp, LED indicators, and a sculpted fuel tank with aggressive tank extensions. The upcoming 390 Duke might also feature several new paint schemes, including a flashy shade of orange.

New KTM 390 Duke: Engine, gearbox, and power outputs

As for the engine, gearbox, and power outputs, we anticipate that KTM will make some tweaks to the current 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine for the new 390 Duke. The current motor produces 43.5PS and 37Nm of torque, and these power figures may see a slight increase with the updated model. The bike is currently equipped with a six-speed gearbox. Rumours suggest that the new-gen 390 Duke might receive a 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit, as indicated by a distinctive engine case and head seen in some spy photos.

New KTM 390 Duke: Features and specification

In terms of features and specifications, the upcoming 390 Duke is expected to come with a new TFT colour display, along with ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS, a slipper clutch, quick shifter, traction control, cornering ABS, riding modes, and Bluetooth connectivity. The bike could also receive new switchgear, upgraded front and rear suspension, updated brakes, and a new exhaust system, among other enhancements.

New KTM 390 Duke: Price, launch, and rivals

As for the price, launch, and rivals, the all-new KTM 390 Duke is likely to come with a higher price tag compared to the current model, which is priced at Rs 2.97 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version may cost approximately Rs 10,000-30,000 more. The global debut of the streetfighter is expected to take place soon, possibly at EICMA 2023 in Milan, Italy. Once launched, the new-gen 390 Duke will compete against rivals such as the Honda CB300R and BMW G 310 R.
