New spy pictures reveal interior of Maruti Suzuki eVX

The Maruti Suzuk eVX has been spotted testing once again. The latest batch of spy pictures, this time, offers a glimpse of its interior. Expected to arrive the next year, the eVX will be the brand's first-ever all-electric model for the Indian market. In fact, the eVX was showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo in New Delhi earlier this year. Maruti Suzuki will manufacture this electric SUV at its Gujarat plant and will also export to various countries across the globe.

Maruti Suzuki eVX: Interior

As seen in the spy pictures, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX will feature a fresh and distinctive cabin layout, which sets it apart from its on-sale siblings. For starters, it will get a new two-spoke steering wheel, a semi-floating centre console with physical switches, a wireless charging pad, a rotary dial (perhaps acting as a gear or mode selector); a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, vertical air-con vents below the infotainment system, a front arm-rest adjoined to the centre console, and dual-tone seat upholstery.

In terms of features, the eVX could be the first Maruti Suzuki to offer some new features, such as powered front or driver seat, dual-zone temperature control, and more. Other features may include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 360deg camera, heads-up display, telematics, and connected car tech, among others. Maruti is also likely to offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Meanwhile, the all-electric eVX will measure 4,300mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,600mm in height with a a wheelbase of 2,700mm. For reference, the Kia Seltos facelift is 4,365mm long, 1,800mm wide, 1,620mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,610mm.

Maruti Suzuki eVX: Powertrain

The eVX electric SUV is expected to get a 60-80kWh battery pack with a range of up to 500-600km. It is likely to be powered by a single motor setup, but there might also be a dual-motor version. This EV could support up to 11kW AC home charging and up to 80-100kW DC fast charging. Moreover, it is likely to offer advanced features, such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capability.
