New Tata Harrier interior teased; bookings open tomorrow
Tata Motors has unveiled a sneak peek of the interior of the upcoming Harrier facelift through teaser images on its social media platforms. The refreshed Harrier's interior showcases several notable updates. The carmaker has also teased the new Safari facelift. Both models are set to open for bookings in India on October 6, 2023.
Tata Harrier Facelift: Interior HighlightsThe teaser video reveals that the Harrier facelift will feature a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which was previously introduced with the Nexon EV facelift. Additionally, it will incorporate a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster. The cabin enhancements extend to a new steering wheel, similar to the one found in the Nexon facelift, as well as ambient lighting. Other expected interior features include a Range Rover-inspired gear selector, a high-quality sound system, a redesigned center console, a wireless charging pad, telematics, Type-C ports, updated connected car technology with smartwatch connectivity, and more.
Tata Harrier Facelift: Exterior Design
While the initial teaser showcased a redesigned front fascia with a full-length LED stripe that doubles as turn indicators, the exact design of the headlights remains concealed. However, it is widely known that the refreshed Harrier will sport vertically stacked LED headlamps, similar to the Nexon facelift. The rear of the updated SUV is expected to feature redesigned taillights with a light bar and a new bumper, along with fresh alloy wheels.
Tata Harrier Facelift: Expected FeaturesThe Harrier facelift is likely to incorporate upgraded advanced driver assistance systems, including a 360-degree camera. Other anticipated features include powered front seats, ventilated seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, six airbags, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), ESP (Electronic Stability Program), traction control, hill descent control, hill hold assist, drive modes, auto-dimming interior rearview mirror (IRVM), four-wheel disc brakes, and more.
Tata Harrier Facelift: Powertrain
The powertrain options for the Harrier facelift are expected to include the existing 2.0-liter inline-four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. This engine generates 170PS and 350Nm of torque. Additionally, there may be a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged TGDi petrol engine, showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, with a power output of 170PS and 280Nm of torque.
Tata Harrier Facelift: Launch and PricingThe refreshed Harrier is expected to be launched in November, with pricing anticipated to start at around Rs 15.50-16 lakh and go up to Rs 25-26 lakh. The outgoing model is priced between Rs 15.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 24.27 lakh (ex-showroom).
