New Tata Safari: Exterior design

As seen in the official teaser, the front end of the new Safari facelift gets a complete overhaul. It features a more aggressive fascia, offering it a muscular stance. It gets a unique and partly blanked-off grille, a light bar running across its width, which is similar to the Nexon EV facelift and Harrier facelift, dynamic indicators, and vertically stacked LED headlamps. Although the teaser does not reveal other design elements, the flagship SUV is expected to feature a new set of alloy wheels, a full-length light strip with reworked taillamps, and a new rear bumper. If the teaser is to go by, the new Safari facelift will come with a new paint scheme, which could be a shade of bronze. Tata might also offer more new colours like the Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts.

New Tata Safari: Interior

On the inside, the new Safari facelift is likely to benefit from a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a revamped dashboard, centre console, a new steering wheel, and the Range Rover-inspired gear selector. Additionally, it could borrow the capacitive touch HAVC panel from the 2023 Nexon.

Other features may include upgraded ADAS comprising new functions, telematics, a hi-fi sound system, powered front seats and rear seats, updated connected car tech with smartwatch connectivity, and more. The SUV is expected to continue with a panoramic sunroof, a 360deg camera, ventilated front and rear seats, six airbags, ESP, traction control, hill hold assist, and hill descent control, among others.

New Tata Safari: Powertrain

Like the Harrier facelift, the new Safari facelift is likely to carry forward with the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine producing 170PS and 350Nm of torque. However, Tata might consider offering a new 1.5-litre, inline four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor that delivers 170PS and 280Nm of torque. While the diesel can be mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, a new dual-clutch automatic unit could also be available.

New Tata Safari: Pricing

The new prices of the upcoming Safari facelift are expected to start from Rs 15.99 lakh and go up to Rs 27 lakh compared to the prices of the outgoing model, which cost between Rs 15.85 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 25.21 lakh (ex-showroom).
