New Tork Kratos-R Urban variant launched at Rs 1.67 lakh
Electric two-wheeler start-up Tork Motors has expanded the variant line-up of the Kratos-R electric motorcycle with the new Urban variant. This new Kratos-R Urban comes with a price tag of Rs 1,67,499 (ex-showroom, Pune). It says that the new Urban variant targets the city riders for their everyday rides without compromising on range. The Pune-based company has announced that it will be available at its dealerships, called Tork Experience Zones, across India from 15 August, 2023. Prospective customers can make bookings for their Kratos-R Urban by visiting Tork Motors' official website at Rs 999.
Tork Kratos-R Urban variant: Features and SpecificationsThe new Urban variant is based on the existing Kratos-R but it misses out on a few features compared to the other variants. Further, the new variant continues with the same three colour schemes: Streaky Red, Oceanic Blue, and Midnight Black.
The owners will initially benefit from a range of features for 30 days, including, multiple riding modes (Eco, City, and Sports), a reverse mode, anti-theft system, fast charging, in-app navigation, Bluetooth-enabled live dash, geofencing, vehicle locator, charging point location, ride analytics, OTA updates, track mode analytics, guide me home lights, and smart analytics. To continue using these features, owners of the electric bike will have to pay an additional Rs 20,000 within six months of its purchase.
Tork Kratos-R Urban variant: Battery, Range, and Charging
Powering the Kratos-R Urban is the 4.0kWh IP67-rated with the 'Axial Flux' electric motor. Additionally, it gets a new ride mode, called City, offering a top speed of 70kmph and a claimed range of over 100km on a full charge.
Speaking on the occasion, Kapil Shelke, Founder and CEO, TORK Motors, said, "As we make our way into new markets in the country, we realise there is a great variation in riding style and usage pattern of our consumers. The new 'Urban' trim fulfils the requirements of an urban commuter who wants uncompromised performance and range at a very accessible price point and the features that he needs on an everyday basis. While this makes a compelling case for itself, the customers will also have flexibility to upgrade within a fixed time frame."
