Nissan Ariya Nismo has been launched in Japan
Nissan debuted the Ariya Nismo, a new performance trim level, during the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 event. It's a more powerful, sporty, and aggressive-looking version of the company's lone current BEV product, and for now, has been launched in Japan with only 2 variants.
The Ariya Nismo's exterior receives several upgrades to boost its aerodynamic and visual performance. The bodywork smoothes out the air even more than the original body and adds elements that increase downforce. The chassis has been improved to improve front and rear suspension performance, and the Nismo-tuned e-4ORCE delivers exceptional grip in all circumstances and sportscar-like line tracing.
The Ariya Nismo's bodywork is available in six colours, including the special NISMO Stealth Gray with a blacked-out roof.
Customers can pick between two Ariya Nismo models: the B6 e-4ORCE and the B9 e-4ORCE. The former has a 66 kWh battery and can produce a maximum of 367PS and 560Nm of torque. The latter, equipped with a 91 kWh battery, has a maximum power of 435PS and 600Nm of torque.
The car now features a specific Nismo driving mode that improves acceleration and responsiveness, as well as a new artificial cabin noise that appears to be inspired by the sound of Formula E race cars.
A black-themed interior with bold red accents creates a sporty yet opulent atmosphere. Special Nismo seats not only provide great comfort but also increase the sense of togetherness between driver and machine.
