Nissan Magnite gets additional safety features as standard

Nissan India has subtly updated the Magnite's feature list. A new set of basic safety measures are added to the little SUV.

All Nissan Magnite models now come standard with a tyre pressure monitor, hill start aid, traction control system, and vehicle dynamic control. The front two tweeters and the rear parcel compartment have been removed from the mid-spec XL model, while the LED fog lights are only available in the top-spec XV Premium variant.

The Magnite keeps using its two-engine option, a 1-litre NA petrol engine with 72PS with 96 Nm and a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine with 100PS with 160 Nm. The turbo-petrol engine has a CVT automatic transmission as an option in addition to the five-speed manual transmission that is the standard gearbox.

Nissan Magnite has 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, an 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights, LED DRLs, LED fog lights, a 7-inch digital instrument screen, and much more.

These upgrades will cost a little more than the corresponding variations by about Rs 20,000. The Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and the impending Maruti Fronx are just a few of Magnite's competitors.
