Oben Electric to launch four new two-wheelers in coming months
On the occasion of World EV Day, Oben Electric announced plans to launch four new electric two-wheelers over the next six months, with prices ranging from Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,50,000. This strategic move underscores the brand's aim to introduce mass-market and inexpensive EVs.
With the EV market set for growth, Oben Electric aims to tap into the two-wheeler sector, focusing on the 70 per cent of the motorcycle market that remains untapped. Designed to meet the future of electric mobility, Oben's upcoming two-wheelers claims to offer reliability and performance as their internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts. The new models will feature advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology, known for its superior heat resistance, durability, and longer lifespan - making it well-suited for India's diverse climate conditions.
In addition to the new model launches, the company is expanding its footprint across India, with plans to open over 60 new showrooms in 12 major cities by the end of the year. This expansion intends to provide access to after-sales support and service centers.
