#ODRecap: Ford recalls Figo and Aspire, 2017 Verna concept unveiled, Creta petrol AT launched
42,300 units of Ford Figo and Ford Figo Aspire recalled in IndiaOwing to a software issue with the ECU's Restraint Control Module (RCM), Ford India suspended the deliveries and test drives of the Figo and figo Aspire models. The company announced an official recall of 42,300 units to fix the software glitch which could prevent the airbags from deploying at the time of a crash. More details on it here.
Isuzu inaugurated its first independent plant in the country at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The company already has a plant in Chennai which it operates under an agreement with Hindustan Motors. The new plant, made with an investment of Rs 3,000 crore, will manufacture the new D-Max and the V-Cross, both of which were displayed at the 2016 Auto Expo. Get more information on the plant here.
2016 Beijing Motor Show: Next-gen Volkswagen Touareg hinted with T-Prime Concept GTEAt the 2015 Beijing Motor Show, Volkswagen revealed the T-Prime Concept GTE. It is a precursor to the future Volkswagen Touareg, which will be Volkswagen's flagship SUV offering. The Volkswagen T-Prime Concept GTE is a plug-in hybrid, all-wheel drive luxury SUV which is powered by both, a petrol engine and an electric motor. 2016 Beijing Motor Show: India-bound 2017 Hyundai Verna concept unveiledHyundai has pulled the wraps off the next generation Hyundai Verna at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show. The launch of the production version has still not be announced by Hyundai. The upcoming sedan carries the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design that has been seen on the Santa Fe, Elite i20 and the Creta. The company launched an automatic variant for petrol Creta at Rs 14.50 lakh in India. We believe this was done to further affirm their dominance in the compact SUV segment.
