Here's the 2017 Ford GT '66 Heritage edition
Ford has added a special edition to the online configurator called the GT '66 Heritage edition. The Ford GT '66 Heritage edition features a silver-on-black livery which is instantly recognizable. It's based on the No 2 GT40 MkII driven by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, which went on to win the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans and gave Ford its legendary 1-2-3 finish.
Volkswagen may set up battery manufacturing plant in China
Volkswagen AG may set up its ambitious battery plant in China. The carmaker is reportedly considering China owing to the country's strong emphasis on electric vehicles. What works in China's favour is that Volkswagen has two joint ventures in that country. So Volkswagen will have to fund only half of the required investment.
Mahindra Partners and Scoot Networks tie up to give shared scooters in San Francisco
Mahindra Partners has tied up with Scoot networks, an electric scooter sharing programme based in San Francisco. The Rs 6,110-crore equity branch of Mahindra just closed another round of financing with Scoot Networks, along with other investors like Vision Ridge Capital. Along with the financing deal, 500 Mahindra Genzes were added to Scoot's fleet of electric vehicles.
