Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina will be limited to just 5 units
Pininfarina has unveiled the Edizione Nino Farina, a unique limited-edition model of their crazy all-electric Battista hypercar. It's a memorial to Giuseppe Nino Farina and is limited to only 5 units. Nino won the first Formula One world champion, competing in an Alfa Romeo in the inaugural FIA World Championship of Drivers in 1950. Nino Farina also happens to be the nephew of Pininfarina's founder, Battista Farina.
On the outside, you'll notice a Rosso Nino paint job with hints of black, white, and blue. The bottom border of the automobile is highlighted by a white band and a thin blue line, which, along with the enormous '01' numeral painted onto the rear fenders, gives the Battista a really cool throwback atmosphere.
The Furiosa Pack adds visual distinctiveness with a redesigned carbon fibre front splitter, side blades, and rear diffuser finished in a Bianco Sestriere pinstripe, while the Carbon Accent Pack is finished in Black Exposed Signature Carbon.
Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina: Powertrain
The engine of the Edizione Nino Farina is identical to that of the standard Battista, with four separate electric motorsâÂ"one for each wheelâÂ"powered by a T-shaped battery pack located centrally between and behind the driver compartment.
The motors produce an astounding 1,903PS and 2,340 Nm of torque when combined, resulting in a stated 0-100kmph time of 1.86 seconds and a peak speed of 350kmph. The Battista can complete the quarter-mile in 8.55 seconds.
Pininfarina Battista Edizione Nino Farina: Interior
Inside, the driver's seat is black leather, while the passenger's seat is beige and black Alcantara. The backs of the seats are painted in Rosso Nino to match the exterior, and an aluminium door plaque commemorates one of Nino's five life milestones.
The seatbelts are painted in the same blue as the exterior highlights, and the steering wheel features a brushed aluminium, anodized black plate with the 'Nino Farina' trademark.
The Battista Edizione Nino Farina will make its premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which takes place from July 13 to July 16. Former F1 driver and Goodwood Hillclimb winner Nick Heidfeld will drive it up the hill.
