Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT launched in India, priced at Rs 2.57 crore
The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT has been introduced by German sports car maker Porsche in India for Rs 2.57 crore, ex-showroom.
The Cayenne Turbo GT model is the most powerful version of the Cayenne. It competes with the Audi RSQ8 and Lamborghini Urus and comes in a coupe body type.
The Porsche Turbo GT has a revised rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and two exhausts in the middle, as well as a modified front end with wider air intakes. The SUV also receives a carbon fibre dynamic rear wing in addition to a roof spoiler. It also has matrix LED headlights together with Porsche's dynamic light system.
To improve the Cayenne Turbo GT's handling and performance, Porsche has modified its electronically controlled chassis system, made its three-chamber suspension setup 15% stiffer, recalibrated dampers, tuned up the steering wheel, modified the rear anti-roll bar, significantly lowered the suspension, and modified the rear-axle steering system. Around the Nürburgring, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT set a record-breaking time of 7:38:9 minutes.
The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that powers the Cayenne Turbo GT generates 640PS and 850 Nm. The power is sent to the tarmac via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. According to Porsche, it would accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.3 seconds and have a top speed of 300 kmph.
On the inside, Alcantara and leather are used to cover every surface in the Cayenne Turbo GT's cockpit. Additionally, it has a 12-inch central information hub, a 10-speaker sound system, four-zone climate control, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with Racing Yellow accents at the 12 o'clock position, and powered front sports seats.
