Porsche India experience a 62 percent rise in sales in 2021
Porsche India had its greatest sales performance since 2014 in 2021, with 474 sports cars delivered, a 62 percent increase over 2020.
Porsche India has also declared that the year 2021 was their greatest sales year since 2014. The brand's order bank increased by 165 percent, confirming that 2021 will be its strongest year ever.
With 187 units delivered, the Porsche Macan luxury compact SUV continues to win over buyers, accounting for 39 percent of total volume and the model's highest yearly sales in the country. While the Porsche Cayenne, the brand's other SUV, followed suit as the second most popular Porsche model in India, the line of two-door sports cars saw a robust 17 percent combined demand.
Porsche is planning a variety of vehicles for the Indian market in 2022. The GTS variants of the Porsche Taycan, the newest Porsche 911 GT3, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS and the Platinum editions of the Cayenne are among them.
Manolito Vujicic, Brand Director for Porsche India, says the demand for the brand's luxury model range was high, with solid interest across all regions that looks likely to flow into 2022: "Following a challenging first half of the year due to the impact of the pandemic on people's lives and businesses, the retail performance from July to December established a new record for us. A total of 301 cars were delivered to new and established customers during the final six months, endorsing a positive outlook leading into 2022 on the back of future-oriented facility investment plans by our associates. Additionally, we look forward to welcoming two new partners to Porsche India with the arrival of Bangalore and Chennai to the retail network in the coming months."
