Porsche India inaugurates a showroom in Mumbai
German sports car marque Porsche has inaugurated a showroom, also known as Porsche Centre, in Mumbai, Maharastra. This facility now also doubles up as Porsche Approved dealership for pre-owned cars. Meanwhile, this Porsche Centre Mumbai can accommodate five vehicles for display. Interestingly, the present display cars include the 718 GT4 RS, Panamera GTS, Cayenne, and Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo.
Porsche India Showrooms and Offerings
Along with the Porsche Centre Mumbai, the firm also has several other showrooms in different cities of India, such as Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Kochi, and Kolkata. On the other hand, Porsche India currently sells numerous cars, such as the iconic 911 range, Cayenne, Macan, 718 line-up, Panamera, all-electric Taycan saloon and Taycan Cross Turismo.
Porsche Approved
Porsche India debuted in the pre-owned car market with the Porsche Approved in June 2022. As a part of this programme, it offers a comprehensive warranty of 12 months on used cars and access to Porsche Assistance - a 24-hour roadside service. Further, all pre-owned vehicles sold through Porsche Approved undergo a 111-point check-up.
Porsche India Sales
The German automaker reported the best-ever sales in India in 2022. It sold 779 units in the previous calendar year, reporting a 64 per cent year-on-year growth compared to 474 units in the same period of 2021. The Macan and Cayenne registered 69 per cent growth in sales. The Cayenne was the single highest-selling model with 399 units sold in 2022. Whereas, the all-electric Taycan accounted for 10 per cent of the total sales, with 78 units delivered since its launch.
Porsche Cayenne facelift
The Cayenne is all set to receive a facelift at Shanghai Auto Show on 18 April, 2023. It will feature a fresh design, a new interior, and advanced tech. Porsche recently showcased the new interior of the upcoming Cayenne facelift. This cockpit will feature three widescreen displays: a 12.6-inch curved driver display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an optional 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen. It will also benefit from a 911-inspired steering wheel. Notably, Porsche India could launch the Cayenne facelift in the country in the coming months.
