Porsche Macan facelift to launch in India on November 12
After its unveiling in international markets earlier this year, the facelifted Porsche Macan is all set to be launched in India on November 12.
The Porsche Macan, also known as the baby Porsche Cayenne, will go through its second facelift in its current generation. Most of the upgrades will be on the interiors of the Porsche Macan as the current model is starting to show its age on the inside.
The major change in the SUV is a redesigned engine range that no longer includes the Turbo variant. The GTS is the new top-of-the-line Macan, with the same 440PS 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine as the Turbo. A sport adaptive air suspension and a redesigned Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system have also been added to the GTS.
The Porsche Macan S gets the 380PS 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 from the GTS, while the standard Macan keeps the 2-litre turbo engine, but this time with 260PS. All variants come with an all-wheel drivetrain and a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
The front grille, rear diffusers and up to seven different alloy wheel choices are expected to be available for the facelifted Porsche Macan. The interior has the GT Sport steering wheels from the Porsche 911 sportscar, as well as a redesigned centre console with touch-sensitive screens in place of physical buttons and a shorter gear selector.
The pricing of the 2022 Porsche Macan is expected to be approximately Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom). The Jaguar F-Pace, BMW X4, Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and Range Rover Velar will be the key competitors for the 2022 Macan.
