Precision Camshafts and EMAG Germany bring Assembled Camshafts to India

Precision Camshafts limited will partner with EMAG Germany to bring Assembled Camshafts technology in India. The camshafts use a force free heat shrink technology which has been patented by EMAG.

PCL is just building its base as it has exclusive rights to this technology. The company claims that these camshafts have increased strength and are lighter compared to conventional camshafts. The firm supplies camshafts to manufacturers such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata and Mahindra and Mahindra in India.

The company would focus on exports currently and manufactures about 150 different camshafts for small and mid-sized passenger vehicles with engine capacities between 1.0 and 2.0-litre. The manufacturing base has been set in the city of Solapur, Maharashtra. The firm also has manufacturing facility in China and produces around 13 million shafts per annum.
