On Women’s Day, all-women delegation proves efficacy of EVs between Mumbai and Khandala
MG Motor India flagged off an all-women EV rally between Mumbai and Khandala on Women's Day. The event was a part of the "Electrifying Women's Drive" initiative and received the participation of 21 ZS EV owners.
The ZS EV rally commenced from MG's JVLR dealership located in the western part of Mumbai. It headed towards Dukes Retreat in Khandala while making a pit stop midway at HPCL's newly inaugurated charging station over Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The event was organized in partnership with HPCL and charging solutions provider Magenta ChargeGrid.
MG Motor India continues to expand the country's charging ecosystem with its 5-way charging network. It has collaborated with several ecosystem partners including Tata Power and Fortum Charge for DC fast-charging stations, eChargeBays and Delta for home and office charging, and Exicom and Umicore for sustainable recycling of batteries alongside others. MG extends a 5-way charging ecosystem to its customers, which includes a free-of-cost AC fast-charger (installed at the customer's home/office), extended charging network, a plug-and-charge cable onboard, and charge-on-the-go with RSA (Roadside Assistance).
The ZS EV 2021 now comes with a certified range of 419 KMs with new HT battery and can zoom from 0 to 100 in less than 8.5 seconds.
MG's two of the four core brand pillars also include Community and Diversity. Building along those lines, the automaker recently manufactured the 50,000th unit of MG Hector with an all-women crew at its Halol manufacturing in Gujarat's Vadodara. MG has a 33% share of women in its across-the-board workforce including department heads and blue-collar professionals.
