Pulsar 200NS goes 'green' for the Indonesian market

2013 Bajaj Pulsar Ninja Green colour in Indonesia

We have called it the best Pulsar to date and the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS is well on its way to success in the performance motorcycle segment in India. The 200NS will very soon also be on sale in Indonesia. The Kawasaki-Bajaj strategic collaboration, which has been successful in Philippines, will be looking forward to tap into the Indonesian markets. Kawasaki's broad presence in Indonesia will be taking care of retail and after-sales service of the new Pulsars.

The 200NS will be locally assembled in Indonesia at Kawasaki's facilities and will be Kawasaki branded. Power output from the triple spark plug engine and all other engine specifications will remain the same. The news here is the brand-new flashy 'Ninja' green shade, which will be one of the four colour options available. The green paint job highlights Bajaj's partnership with Kawasaki and falls in line with Kawasaki's established visual identity.

Pulsar enthusiasts â€" both owners and prospective buyers â€" may be left annoyed and envious at the lack of this colour option in the Indian market. There are currently no plans for rolling out green Pulsars from Bajaj's Chakan plant for India. This makes sense, because the branding overlap is undesirable in the overall picture for Bajaj which currently manages three motorcycles brands across two separate distribution networks.

In the Indonesian markets, the 200NS intends to go up against the Yamaha Vixion 150cc - which is the naked Yamaha that shares its engine with the Indian Yamaha YZF-R15. Future plans for the Bajaj-Kawasaki tie-up include extending a similar arrangement and making the 200NS to every other emerging market.
