Rajputana Customs Ronin-based Wakizashi showcased at TVS MotoSoul 2.0
TVS made several special announcements on the occasion of the 2023 TVS MotoSoul 2.0. And one of the announcements was about the custom Ronin models built by four different custom builders, namely TVS, Smoked Garage, JVB Moto, and Rajputana Customs. While we have already covered the TVS SCR, here we shed some light on the Wakizashi - the Ronin-based modified motorcycle by Rajputana Customs.
Rajasthan-based Rajputana customs has transformed the Ronin into a scrambler-style motorcycle. Its version of the custom Ronin has been named after a Japanese short-blade weapon - the Wakizashi. In order to make it distinctive, Rajputana Customs ditched the Ronin's bodywork and equipped it with numerous custom-built parts and components.
To begin with, the firm has rid of the Ronin's original sub-frame and swingarm and bestowed the Wakizashi with its own swingarm and sub-frame. Then, the fuel tank and rear seat cowl bear a brushed aluminium finish, while the former also features the Ronin lettering logo. Moreover, Rajputana Customs has even given it a new laser-etched fuel lid and swingarm cap.
Furthermore, the Ronin-based Wakizashi ditches the factory handlebar and gets a clip-on unit instead. Similarly, the custom builder has removed its rear seat and has given it a flat single seat. Since Rajputana Customs has stripped down the Ronin, it has also fitted the motorcycle with a new instrument cluster by Moto Gadget, a black and gold chain, and adjustable clutch and brake levers. Not to mention, the Wakizashi features a custom underbelly exhaust and new pair of Dunlop tyres with wire-spoke wheels.
The Wakizashi is powered by the 225.9cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 20.4PS and 19.93Nm of torque. This motor is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
