Range Rover Velar gets massive Rs 6.40 lakh price cut
The second most affordable Range Rover, the Velar has just gotten a huge discount with the car now priced at Rs 87.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the SUV Rs 6.40 lakh more affordable than its last recorded Rs 94.30 lakh asking price. The 2024 Velar was launched in India in July last year and is available in a single top-spec HSE trim with petrol and diesel engines.

Range Rover Velar: Design
The last update has made the Range Rover Velar sleeker than its predecessor. Land Rover gave it a new grille, redesigned daytime driving lights, new Pixel LED headlamps, new front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels, and revised taillamps. Also on offer are two new colours: Metallic Varesine Blue and Premium Metallic Zadar Grey, alongside Fuji White and Santorini Black.
Range Rover Velar: Interior and FeaturesOn the inside, the Velar has a fresh and minimalist interior. It now features JLR's 11.4-inch Pivi Pro central information hub with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin wears Windsor leather trim available in either Caraway/Ebony or Deep Garnet/Ebony theme.
The features list includes a wireless charging pad, an 11-speaker, 400-watt, Meridian sound system, active road noise cancellation, an air purifier plus, four-zone temperature control, software over-the-air updates, a fixed panoramic sunroof, 20-way powered front seats with massage and heating/ventilation functions, driver-seat memory settings, rear seats powered recline, onboard Amazon Alexa assistant, multicolour ambient lighting, metal pedals, 360-degree camera, powered boot opening, Terrain Response 2 system, and electronic air suspension, among others.
Range Rover Velar: Powertrain
Engine choices include two 2-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. In India, there is no six-cylinder or hybrid Velar. The petrol engine produces 250PS and 365Nm, while the diesel engine produces 204PS and 420Nm. An 8-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all four wheels for both engines. The petrol engine has a claimed peak speed of 217 kmph and a stated 0-100 kmph time of 7.5 seconds, while the diesel engine has a claimed top speed of 210 kmph and based on our road test, it can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 9 seconds.
