Renault India achieves a production milestone of 10,00,000 units
Renault India has achieved a significant production milestone of 10,00,000 units. With an annual capacity of 4,80,000 units, the carmaker's facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, has played an important role in this accomplishment. It recently launched the Human First Program. Above all Renault-Nissan Alliance has planned an investment of Rs 5,300 crore to develop six new vehicles. These new vehicles likely to comprise different body style models and could include a mass market EV.
While Renault currently sells the Kiger, Kwid, and Triber in the country and also exports the vehicles to 14 other counties around the world. The automaker exports its car to various parts, such as SAARC, Asia Pacific, Indian Oceanic Region, South Africa and East Africa region.
As part of the Human First Program, Renault has equipped the Kiger, Kwid, and Triber with a range of new safety features as standard. These features include the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Speaking on the occasion, Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India Operations, said, "Achieving the production of 10,00,000 vehicles in India is a significant milestone for Renault. Renault BS6.2-compliant Kiger AMT and Triber AMT
In other news, Renault India recently started the deliveries of the BS6 phase-2 compliant Kiger AMT and Triber AMT across India. The Kiger AMT prices start at Rs 8.47 lakh (ex-showroom), while the prices of the Triber AMT start at Rs 8.12 lakh (ex-showroom). Above all, under its Human First Program, the automaker now offers several new safety features across its product line-up.
