Renault launches BS6 2.0-compliant Kiger, Triber, and Kwid
Renault India has launched the updated 2023 Kiger, Kiger, and Kwid in India with a BS6 phase 2 compliant engine. Additionally, the brand has introduced a new entry-level RXE variant for the Kwid at Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, Renault has commenced bookings for the BS6 2.0-compliant models from today across its dealerships in India.
2023 Renault Kiger, Kwid, and Triber: Powertrain
To begin with, the 1.0-litre inline-three naturally aspirated petrol motor and 1.0-litre inline-three turbocharged petrol engine offered with the Kiger now comply with the upcoming BS6 2.0 emission norms. The former delivers 72PS at 6,250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500rpm, while the latter generates 100PS at 5,000rpm and 152Nm of torque between 2,200rpm and 4,400rpm. Transmission options include a five-speed manual, CVT automatic, and AMT.Â
Likewise, the Kwid's 799cc, inline-three, naturally aspirated petrol unit and 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine also adhere to BS6 2.0 regulations. The 799cc motor produces 54PS/72Nm, while the 1.0-litre engine makes 68PS/91Nm.
Renault has also provided the Triber with the BS6 2.0-compliant 999cc inline-three naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to either a five-speed manual or AMT. This motor makes 72PS at 6,250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500rpm.
2023 Renault Kiger, Kwid, Triber: Features
Renault now offers the 2023 Kiger, Kwid, and Triber with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard. The Triber further comes with new seat upholstery and chrome-finished door handles.
