Renault launches Summer Camp in India, to be conducted from April 22 to 28, 2019

French car manufacturer Renault has initiated a Summer Camp for all its vehicles in India. This will be conducted from April 22 to 28, 2019. The company mentions that the summer camp will consist of a comprehensive check-up for all Renault cars at all its 450+ service stations.  Renault India will also offer exclusive benefits to its customers, where in 50 per cent discount will be offered on select accessories, 10 per cent discount on select parts and 15 per cent discount on labour charges and other value-added services. The company will also provide 10 per cent discount on Renault Secure which covers extended Warranty and Road Side Assistance. Also, there will be the Renault Assured program to facilitate the customers with insurance renewal solutions.

In addition to the check-up facilities and free car top wash, Renault India will provide special discounts on tyres (select brands), five per cent discount on engine oil replacement. Also, MyRenault app registered users will get additional five per cent discount on select parts and accessories during this period.

In other news,  Renault India will also launch a new compact SUV here next year. This car will join the upcoming Renault Triber and the facelifts for the Kwid and Duster. The Renault HBC, as the compact SUV is codenamed, will compete with cars like the Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The HBC will be based on a modified version of the CMF-A platform that underpins the Renault Kwid. The wheelbase will be longer than the Kwid's and we expect a slight increase in width as well. Power will most probably come from the Kwid's 1.0-litre three-cylinder motor which makes 68PS and 91Nm, paired with a five-speed manual or AMT. Although, it might also make sense for Renault to equip the car with the 1.2-petrol from the Renault-Nissan line. This engine powers the Micra and puts out 77PS and 104Nm. Also, given the more heavy-hauling this car is expected to do, a reworked diesel unit based on the 1.5-litre K9K motor would make perfect sense.
