Renault Triber launched in India at Rs 4.95 lakh
Renault India has launched the Triber 7-seater at a price of under Rs 5 lakh, ex-showroom. At this price, the Renault Triber rivals the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The Triber is built on a heavily modified version of the CMF-A platform and introduces a new 1-litre engine with dual VVT to the country. The variant-wise pricing for the Renault Triber is:

Based on the Renault-Nissan Common Module Family-A platform, the Triber boasts of true 7-seat capabilities thanks to clever packaging within its sub-4m constraints. The exterior dimensions are 3,990x1,739x1,643mm (LxWxH) while its wheelbase stands at 2,636mm which illustrates the stretch in wheelbase over the Kwid. The Triber also boasts a ground clearance of 182mm. The biggest differentiator is the Triber's interiors which feel a level above in perceived quality over what we've seen from Renault in the past, something gleaned from the unveiling of the Triber earlier this year. As for features, the Triber will offer touchscreen-based infotainment with the latest standards of mobile connectivity included. A big talking point is the space and modularity of the cabin.
The third row of seats can either be folded flat or removed entirely, while the second row offers 60:40 split-folding seats. The second row can also be adjusted for recline and legroom, expanding its flexibility further. Boot space stands at 84 litres with all three rows of seats up, and 625 litres with the third row down. The 1-litre 3-cyl petrol engine produces 72PS of power and 96Nm of torque, with the addition of VVT (variable valve timing) to improve low-end response and efficiency without affecting the mid-range delivery.
