The new entity draws inspiration from the original Royal Enfield Flying Flea motorcycle of the 1940s. The Flying Flea was built for World War II and would be airdropped via parachute for soldiers. Royal Enfield says that this lightness, agility, and adaptability now returns with the Flying Flea subsidiary and its upcoming range of electric motorcycles.

Royal Enfield has developed the Flying Flea C6 from the scratch and has also filed 28 patent applications related to advanced technology and other vehicular aspects. However, its design is inspired by the original Flying Flea. The EV will boast an in-house developed software with a vehicle control unit, which the brand says "enables over 2,00,000 different ride mode combinations, constantly monitors your bike when you are away to alert if it is disturbed or moved, and is always up to date with Over The Air updates and feature additions." Although Royal Enfield did not disclose any specifications, the FF C6 will feature OTA updates and lean-sensitive ABS.

Notably, Royal Enfield has said that the new Flying Flea C6 will go on sale in Spring 2026, while the Flying Flea S6 is expected to arrive later.
