Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 spotted testing again

The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been spotted undergoing tests once again. The KTM 390 Adventure rival is also one of the most-anticipated models of the brand this year. While it has already been spied testing in India on countless occasions, the new spy shots have revealed some new details about its design.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Design

While most previous spy photos showed the side profiles or front end of the Himalayan 450, the new batch of aerial pictures has revealed the top view of the adventure tourer. More to the point, the new photos show a larger and sculpted fuel tank, wider and split seats, a wider handlebar, and a rugged mounting plate to accommodate a top box. All in all, it is expected to feature an ergonomic design for long-distance touring and off-roading.

Further, the spy photos also offer a close look at the angular windscreen, TFT LCD readout, and metal frame. Notably, the new digital instrument cluster is likely to bring more features than Bluetooth connectivity and Tripper navigation options.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Engine

The Himalayan could be powered by a 450cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. It is believed to produce north of 40PS and 45Nm of torque.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Launch and Price

Although the Himalayan 450 prototype model seen in the spy pictures appears to be production-ready, we expect Royal Enfiled to launch the motorcycle sometime later this year. Meanwhile, the new Himalayan 450 could come with a sticker price of Rs 2.50 lakh.
