Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 wins Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) 2024 award

The Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) for 2024 has been announced, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 secured this prestigious title. The Triumph Scrambler 400X claimed the first runner-up position, while the KTM 390 Duke secured the second runner-up spot. That being said, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 was crowned the Indian Motorcycle of the Year in 2023.

Competing against nine other strong contenders, including the Triumph Scrambler 400X, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Hero Karizma XMR, KTM 390 Duke, Harley Davidson X440, Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, and TVS Apache RTR 310.

The decision, made by a panel of seasoned motoring journalists representing various publications and online media, involved a comprehensive evaluation. Factors considered included cost, fuel efficiency, performance, comfort, practicality, design, technology, and suitability for Indian road and riding conditions. This rigorous process ensured the recognition of a standout motorcycle in the Indian market.
