Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 India launch soon: What should you expect?

Unveiled at the Motoverse 2023, the launch of the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 can take place anytime. The bobber-style motorcycle gets the same twin-cylinder engine as the other 650 models in the brand's line-up, however it stands out with a unique design and colour schemes. In fact, the special Shotgun 650 Motoverse Edition, introduced at the Motoverse 2023 for Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom), adorned an exclusive paint job and was only sold the attendees of the Motoverse2023 via a contest.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650: Design

The Shotgun 650 features a redesigned headlamp cowl, a new fuel tank, which is slimmer than Super Meteor 650, new rear-set foot pegs, peashooter-style dual exhaust, distinctive tyres and handlebar, glossy finish for the engine casing, slightly reworked fenders, bar-end mirrors, and an option to remove the rear seat.

The India-spec model is likely to be available in a choice of four colours, namely Plasma Blue, Sheetmetal Grey, Green Drill, and Stencil White.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650: Engine specifications

Powering the Shotgun 650 is the 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine that delivers 47PS and 52.3Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the claimed mileage stands at 22kmpl.

Royal Enfield has given the Shotgun 650 all-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, upside down front forks, twin rear shocks, single discs at both ends, and a semi-analogue cluster. Further, it has a 13.8-litre fuel tank and seat height of 795mm.

Royal Enfield Shotgun 650: Pricing

The Shotgun 650 prices are likely to start from Rs 3.30-3.40 lakh. In contrast, the prices of the INT 650, Continental GT 650, and Super Meteor 650 start from Rs 3.02 lakh, Rs 3.18 lakh and Rs 3.54 lakh (all ex-showroom), respectively.
