Simple One electric scooter launched in India; prices start at Rs 1.45 lakh
Simple Energy has launched the One electric scooter in India with prices starting at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore). It is available with a single variant. Notably, the One is considerably more expensive than the previous version, which was available at Rs 1.10 (ex-showroom). It is not be noted that, to purchase a faster 750W charger, customers will have to pay additional Rs 13,000. That said, the new version of the One gets a larger battery pack and new colours.
Simple One Electric Scooter: Range, Battery, Charging, And Power Output
Powering the Simple One electric scooter is an Ip67-rated 5kWh battery pack paired with an Ip67-rated electric motor that produces 4.5kW (8.5kW at peak) and 72Nm of torque. With this, the electric scooter promises an IDC range of 212km (with six per cent SOC left). It provides a claimed top speed of 105kmph and can go from zero to 40kmph in 2.77 seconds. As claimed, the e-scooter cab charged from zero to 80 per cent in five hours 54 minutes, while a fast charger recharges the battery at the rate of 1.5km/minute. Further, the One offers a fixed and a removable battery pack. The former can be charged in three hours and 47 minutes, whereas the latter takes two hours and seven minutes to go from zero to 100 per cent.
Simple One Electric Scooter: Design And Colours
The Simple One features a sporty design language. The exterior highlights include a vertical LED headlamp, slim LED indicators, sharp daytime running lights, and angular LED taillamps.
It comes with four paint schemes: Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue, and Grace White. The brand, this time, has added two new colour options: BrazenX and LightX. The catch is both new paints command a premium of Rs 5,000 over the ex-showroom price of the electric scooter.
Simple One Electric Scooter: Features and Specs
In terms of features, the EV gets an Ip67-rated seven-inch colour TFT display, on-board maps, 4G connectivity, OTA updates, four riding modes (Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic), parking assist, smartphone connectivity, and all-LED lights. Simple has also given it telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, 200m front disc, 190mm rear disc, and a pair of 12-inch wheels. Plus, it has a storage capacity of 30 litres.
Simple One Electric Scooter: Warranty and Rivals
The electric scooter, battery pack, and electric motor come with a warranty of three years/30,000km, while the charger gets a one year/10,000km warranty. Meanwhile, the One takes on the likes of the Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, Vida V1, TVS iQube, and River Indie.
