Skoda Kushaq Style range to be updated with 6 airbags and TPMS
The Skoda Kushaq was launched not too long ago and ever since then it has garnered plenty of attention because of its striking looks and its long list of features onboard. Skoda is already set to upgrade a few features on the Kushaq such as 6 airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on the top-end variant in the coming weeks.
The Skoda Kushaq Style variant sits at the top of the Kushaq range and while the manual version of the style variant already comes with 6 airbags and a TPMS, the automatic variant missed out on those safety features to keep the price tag in check with its competition. That won't be the case anymore as Skoda will include those two features on the automatic version as well. The other two models in the Kushaq range - Active and Ambition, only get the two airbags in the front and will miss out on the side and curtain airbags.
Other safety features on the Skoda Kushaq include ESC as standard, ABS with EBD, TCS, rear-parking camera, auto headlamps and wipers, a multi-collision braking system and hill start assist.
The engine option for the Skoda Kushaq consists of a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine from the Rapid with 110PS and 175 Nm with a six-speed manual and the six-speed torque converter from the Rapid. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol is the same unit from the Karoq that makes 150PS and 250 Nm and pairs with a seven-speed DCT. The larger engine also gets a different six-speed manual.
Pricing for the Skoda Kushaq begins at Rs 10.49 lakh.
