Skoda Slavia to launch in India on February 28
Skoda India will launch the Skoda Slavia on February 28, starting with the 1.0-litre. The launch of the Slavia 1.5-litre will follow on March 3. Alongside the price reveal, deliveries for the two versions of the Skoda sedan will also begin on the same dates. Bookings for the Slavia have already begun online and at Skoda dealers.
The Skoda Slavia is mechanically very similar to the Kushaq, based on the heavily localized MQB-A0-IN architecture. Consequently, the familiar 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with 115PS and 175 Nm is the base engine option aspiring with a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic. The 1.5-litre TSI with cylinder deactivation will also be available with a six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT.
Adding to the standard ESC, the Slavia will also get tyre-pressure monitoring on all variants. Another new addition is that of a hill-hold function on higher-spec versions. Up to six airbags, electronic differential lock, multi-collision braking, auto headlamps and wipers and rear parking cameras will be other safety highlights.
2022 Skoda Slavia interiors, features, variants
The Skoda Slavia will be available in three variants, Active, Ambition and Style. Feature highlights will include the new 8-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, connected-tech, climate control, auto headlamps and wipers and LED lighting.
2022 Skoda Slavia expected price, launch dateBookings for the Skoda Slavia have opened online and at Skoda dealerships across the country ahead of its launch in March 2022. The Slavia competes with the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. We expect it to be priced between Rs 9 to 14 lakh when it launches in early 2022.
