Smoked Garage shows off Musashi at MotoSoul 2023
Smoked Garage, the Indonesia-based custom builder, showcased the Musashi at the 2023 TVS MotoSoul in Vagator, Goa. This Ronin-based modified motorcycle was one of the four custom-built projects showcased at the motorcycling festival. For reference, there was the SCR by TVS, Agonda by SVB Moto, and Wakizashi by Rajputana Customs.
The Ronin-based Musashi is a homage to Miyamoto Musashi âÂ" the undefeated double-blade swordsman from Japan. Smoked Garage says that the Musashi is developed to be distinctive, delightful, and fun. Interestingly, there is also a custom helmet for the Musashi that bears Ronin Musashi lettering stickers.
Smoked Garage has stripped down the Ronin to build the one-of-its-kind rugged Musashi. It features a pair of huge Dunlop tyres, a sculpted fuel tank, a flat floating-type single seat, a fuel lid, a protective perforated engine and under belly guards, a headlight grille, carbon fibre panels at the front and rear for wire-spoke wheels, and a signature exhaust system, among others.
Furthermore, the motorcycle also gets a brushed aluminium finish, a horizontal monoshock located parallel to the new swing arm, and front fork extensions with auxiliary lights. However, the Musashi continues with the front upside-down fork setup, LED headlight with T-shaped daytime running light, single disc at the front and rear, and conventional handlebar instead of a clip-on unit. The Musashi is powered by the same 225.9cc single-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed gearbox as the on-sale Ronin.
