SsangYong Motors unveils new Korando C in Korea
SsangYong Motor, part of the Mahindra Group, has unveiled the New Korando C at the Seoul Marina in Yeouido. The New Korando C has received a major facelift including a newly designed interior and body, as well as more convenience features. The company stated that the upgraded model will be available at its dealerships across Korea. The New Korando C is a premium Urban Leisure Vehicle (ULV).
The driver's seat and its surrounding area have received a facelift, giving it a new look with an upmarket appeal.
On the outside, it has projector headlamps with LED lights, body colour grille with chrome moulding, new side panels and 18-inch wheels. There's ventilation in the driver's seat cushion and backrest, a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system and smart key system. Additional options available are a black box, front and rear skid plates, side steps and a washer fluid heater. Also, consumers choosing the Smart AWD system can have a trailer hitch installed. A tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) has also been introduced as a preventive safety measure.
In addition, the powertrain has been optimized to improve efficiency by up to 8.4% when driving in 'Eco' mode, giving it a fuel economy of up to 12.8 kmpl in 2-Wheel Drive (Automatic Transmission) mode. The manual transmission model boasts the best fuel economy in its class of 17.2 kmpl in 2-Wheel Drive mode. In the automatic transmission model, the driver can choose between Eco and Sport mode. The New Korando C comes in three trim levels.
"The Korando C has been reborn as the New Korando C, with a new innovative style and greater appeal to drivers. I have no doubt that it will be an attractive choice for drivers looking for vehicles for both urban driving and outdoor leisure activities," said Lee Yoo-il, CEO, Ssangyong Motor.
