Suzuki Jimny Heritage Edition goes on sale in Australia
Suzuki Australia has introduced the new Jimny XL Heritage Edition. This limited edition of the SUV pays homage to the "Jimny's vibrant 4x4 history from the 70s, 80s and 90s, when hair was long, freedom was everything, and Jimny's cult following first began". Notably, only 500 units of the Jimny XL Heritage will be available to purchase. As a matter of fact, the Jimny Heritage 3-door was completely sold out in just two days, says Suzuki Australia.
The new Jimny XL Heritage Edition carries over the same design as the standard Jimny XL (the Jimny 5-door is called Jimny XL in Australia) but gets several exclusive elements as a part of the limited edition. There is Heritage Edition badge, mud flaps in bright red shade, and a distinctive cargo tray. Suzuki is offering this SUV in a range of special paint jobs, namely Jungle Green, White, Bluish Black Pearl, Granite Grey Metallic, and Chiffon Ivory with Bluish Black Pearl roof. It also gets a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
While the Jimny XL is exported to Australia from India, it boasts Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Other features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, ESP, traction control, hill hold control, hill descent control, cruise control, and LED projector headlamps, among others.
Jimny XL Heritage Edition: Engine specificationsApart from that, it retains the four-wheel-drive system paired with the 1.5-litre, inline four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The standard model can also be had in a four-speed automatic transmission. This motor produces 102PS and 130Nm of torque.
