Tata Curvv EV features leaked
After unveiling the production-spec model a week ago, Tata Motors is now readying the Cruvv for the 7 August. Ahead of the launch, the feature list of the crossover coupe has been leaked. Here are the important things to know.
Before jumping to the features, here are some insights from our recent visit to the Tata Motors Design Tech Centre in Coventry, the United Kingdom. During our recent facility visit, we witnessed the car design process, specifically for the Curvv, and had the opportunity to interact with Vivek Srivatsa, COO of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility.
Mr Srivatsa told us the Curvv EV will be the first version to arrive, followed by the ICE models later this year. He also reaffirmed that Tata's Harrier EV will go on sale by the FY2024, that means around March 2025, while the market launch of the Sierra EV will take place in FY2026.

Coming back, the crossover coupe, as per the leaks, will borrow its features from the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. It will boast a panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument panel with on-screen maps, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Arcade.EV and third-party app support, nine-speaker JBL sound system, powered and ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless charging pad.
The leaked feature-list further mentions 360deg camera, iRA 2.0 connected car tech, electronic parking brake with auto hold, four-disc brakes, parking sensors at both ends, six airbags, Level 2 autonomy with driver drowsiness detection. Tata could also offer electronic stability control, brake assist, telematics, ISOFIX child anchor points, automatic headlamps, and wipers, vehicle-to-load (V2L), vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), LED headlights and taillights with welcome and goodbye animations, puddle lamps, blind spot monitor, 45W USB Type-C socket, and drive modes, among others.
Tata Curvv EV powertrain
We expect Tata to offer two battery pack options similar to the Nexon EV and Punch EV. It could get the battery capacity of around 40-65kWh with a maximum range of 500-520km. The crossover coupe may support up to 11kW AC charging and up to 80kW DC fast charging.
Tata Curvv EV pricesThe upcoming Tata Curvv EV will fall under Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara segment. Given that, its prices might start about Rs 16-18 lakh and go up to Rs 22-24 lakh. Once launched, the Curvv EV will take on the MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3.
