Tata Curvv launched in India at Rs 10 lakh

The Curvv ICE has finally been launched in India at an introductory pricing ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The Curvv boasts a plethora of new features and will be available in eight variations and six colours and also makes the debut of Tata's new 1.2-litre T-GDi engine. Tata has only announced the prices of the manual variants and the prices for the automatic variants will be unveiled at a later date.

Tata Curvv: Variants & Colours

The new Curvv uses a new ATLAS platform and is available across Smart, Pure+, Pure+ S, Creative, Creative S, Creative+ S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ A variants. Colour options include Gold Essence, Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Flame Red, Pure Grey and Opera Blue.

Tata Curvv: Powertrains

Powering the Curvv will be three engine options, starting with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol producing 120PS/170Nm, a 1.5-litre diesel that makes 118PS/260Nm, and a new 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol engine generating 125PS/225Nm. All three motors will come mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The new 1.2-litre TGDi Hyperion engine features a high-pressure direct fuel injection system and an electrically actuated variable geometry turbocharger.

Tata Curvv: Interior & Features

The Curvv's interior dashboard design is reminiscent of the Tata Nexon's, although with a 4-spoke steering wheel that was taken from the Harrier and Safari. The cabin too comes in a new dual-tone burgundy and black theme. Tata has upgraded the blind spot display, which now shows in the digital instrument cluster. Then, the Arcade.EV now gets new apps, such as Park Plus, Spotify, Amazon Music, Amazon Audible, and a new game.

Other features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10-25-inch all-digital cluster, a panoramic sunroof, nine-speaker, 320-watt sound system with a subwoofer; What3words support, six regional voice assistant languages, paddle shifters, ventilated seats, electric parking brake with auto hold, multicolour ambient lighting, headlight and rear lights welcome and goodbye animations, flush door handles with illumination, powered boot opening with gestured control function, air purifier with AQI, new iRA app, telematics with SOS, 360-degree camera, wireless charging pad, 45W USB Type-C, hill hold control, hill descent control, ESP, six airbags, cooled glovebox, TPMS, front parking sensors, and Level 2 autonomy with 20 functions, among others.

The Curvv competes with the Citroen Basalt in the new coupe-SUV segment and offers a substitute for mid-size SUVs such as the Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and Skoda Kushaq.
