Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions launched with ADAS functionality
Tata Motors has launched the Red Dark Editions of the Nexon, Harrier and Safari. The Harrier and Safari Red Dark have starting prices of Rs 21.77 lakh and Rs 22.61 lakh, respectively, while the Nexon Red Dark Edition has a starting price of Rs 12.35 lakh.
The most significant upgrade has to be ADAS, which is a first for a Tata vehicle. 10ÃÂ functions in all are included in the suite, although adaptive cruise control is not one of them. These features include auto-emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot recognition, rear collision warning, and high beam assist.
With the "Oberon Black" colour scheme, the newly released Red Dark Edition receives an all-black exterior, just like the well-liked Safari, Nexon, and Harrier Dark editions. Red brake callipers and a subdued red inlay on the front grille are also included on the three special edition vehicles.
The RDE-compliant powertrains that Tata Motors recently debuted are carried over to all three special edition SUVs. Both of the engines in the NexonâÂ"a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol with 120PS and a 1.5-litre diesel with 115PSâÂ"are mated to either a 6-speed manual or an automatic manual transmission. The 170PS, 2.0-litre diesel engine is still available in the Harrier and Safari, together with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
The inside of the Nexon Red Dark Edition has a black finish with Carnelian Red accents on the leatherette seats, steering wheel, and grab grips in the centre console. Moreover, the seat headrests have been engraved with the hashtag "#Dark." A sunroof, ventilated seats, a wireless charger, an air purifier, and other features are carried over from the corresponding trim level.
The basic Harrier and Safari SUVs' smaller entertainment system is replaced by a brand-new 10.25-inch model, and there is also a completely digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, and powered driver seats with memory.
Moreover, the Safari has second-row ventilated seats, red ambient lighting at the door handles and around the panoramic sunroof, and second-row passenger head restraint cushions.
