Tata Motors passenger vehicles to get expensive from 1 May

Tata Motors has announced that it will be increasing prices of passenger vehicles by 0.6 per cent with effect from 1 May, 2023, which will vary depending on the variant and model. This is the third unified price hike from the automaker for the entire passenger car line-up after it announced its previous price increments on 1 January and 1 February this year.

Tata Motors Latest Price Hike

A statement issued by the carmaker stated, "Tata Motors has been absorbing a significant portion of the increased costs on account of regulatory changes and rise in overall input costs and is hence compelled to pass on some proportion through this hike." It is to be noted that Tata Motors hiked the prices of its passenger vehicles by 1.2 per cent in February 2023 due to the same reason as provided in the latest price increase.

Meanwhile, Tata Motors currently sells a wide range of passenger vehicles, namely the Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, Tata Nexon, Tata Tiago, Tata Tigor, Tata Punch, and Tata Altroz, including a few all-electric vehicles, such as the Nexon EV Prime, Nexon EV Max, Tiago EV, and Tigor EV.

Tata Safari, Harrier, and Nexon Facelift Coming Soon

In other news, Tata Motors has been working on the facelift models of the Safari, Harrier, and Nexon. The test mules of all three SUVs have already been spied testing in India. With this mid-cycle update, the Nexon will bear a new design language that somewhat resembles the Curvv EV and Curvv ICE concepts. Recently, the interior pictures of the Nexon facelift prototype surfaced on the internet, offering a glimpse of a redesigned cabin of the sub-compact SUV, especially a new steering wheel like the Curvv concept.

On the other hand, the Harrier facelift will draw inspiration from the Harrier EV showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. Likewise, Tata Motor's flagship Safari is also set to receive a facelift and its heavily camouflaged prototype was recently spotted undergoing tests. The Safari facelift will get a new face and perhaps a fresh interior.
