Tata Tigor EV for personal buyers unveiled with Ziptron technology

Tata Motors is preparing to introduce its second EV product for the personal category, the all-new Tigor EV. The Nexon EV faced phenomenal success as it currently has over 70% market share in the booming Indian EV industry.

The Tigor EV is built on three pillars of technology, innovation, and sustainability. It is powered by Ziptron, a well-proven state of the art high voltage electric architecture. It comes packed with cutting-edge technology across the board, including engine, infotainment, connection, and charging, and promises a pleasant, smooth, and soothing ride.

The Tigor EV produces 55 kW of peak power and 170 Nm of peak torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 km in 5.7 seconds, making for a fast and exhilarating ride. It has a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is well-packaged and offers a claimed highest onboard energy in the segment. It has improved driving dynamics and handling, thanks to a lower Center of Gravity and a well-balanced suspension system that provides a smooth ride.

The Tigor EV's battery pack and motor are certified IP 67, making it weather and worry-proof, and the battery and motor are covered by an 8-year, 160,000 km guarantee. It's built on a tried-and-true platform that's Rear Crash compatible and meets the ODB 64 test standard. The new Tigor EV is compatible with the CCS2 charging protocol, which means it can be charged quickly or slowly from any 15 A outlet.

Tata claims that the new Tigor EV has a silent cabin, spacious interiors with ample headroom and legroom for comfortable seating, the Tigor EV also offers 30+ connected car features including remote commands and remote diagnostics, so customers can be in touch with their EV through their phones.

Tata Motors will begin taking reservations for the new Tigor EV at select dealerships starting today for Rs 21,000.
