Tata Nexon, Curvv & Curvv EV score top marks in BNCAP safety test
Bharat NCAP has released a new set of crash test results for the Tata Nexon, the all-new Tata Curvv and the Tata Curvv EV and it's safe to say that all 3 cars achieved an impressive 5-star safety rating in both adult and child categories.
The Tata Curvv received scores of 43.66 out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection (COP) and 29.5 out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). In contrast, the Tata Curvv EV received 44.83 out of 49 points for COP and 30.81 out of 32 for AOP. Finally, the Nexon scored 43.83 out of 49 in the COP test and 29.41 out of 32 in the AOP.
The Curvv achieved a score of 14.65 out of 16 in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, while the Curvv EV achieved a higher score of 15.66. Likewise, the Curvv and Curvv EV received scores of 14.85 and 15.15 out of 16 on the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test, respectively. In the former, the Nexon received a score of 14.65 while in the latter it got 14.76.
Six airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, a 3-point seatbelt reminder for every seat, and ABS with EBD are among the safety features that all three Tata SUVs have. Additionally, level 2 advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) features including automated emergency braking, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are available for the Curvv and Curvv EV.
