Tata Nexon EV facelift unveil tomorrow: What should you expect?
Tata Motors is set to unveil the 2023 Nexon EV facelift in India on September 7, 2023. This mid-cycle facelift will bring a fresh look, new interior, and additional features to India's top-selling electric vehicle. Here's what you can expect from the upcoming 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift:
Tata Nexon EV facelift: Exterior DesignThe Nexon EV facelift will share styling changes with the Nexon facelift, including a redesigned front and rear, as well as new 16-inch alloy wheels. However, the EV will feature a full-length light bar at the front in place of the horizontal DRLs. It will also come equipped with LED projector headlamps, fog lights with cornering function, and a light stripe running across the width at the rear. The Nexon facelift offers six colors, and the Nexon EV facelift is expected to provide the same shades, along with an EV-specific paint scheme.
Tata Nexon EV facelift: InteriorInside, the Nexon EV facelift will feature a layout and features similar to the Nexon facelift. This includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument console, a new steering wheel, leatherette seats, and capacitive touch switches on the reworked center console. Tata may offer the EV with a new Range Rover-style drive mode selector and a rotary dial for driving modes.
Tata Nexon EV facelift: Features
Expect the refreshed electric SUV to come equipped with a 360-degree camera, iRA 2.0 connectivity, a new nine-speaker sound system, front parking sensors, height-adjustable co-passenger seat, telematics, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features may include six airbags, ESP, and hill hold control as standard across all variants. Additional features like a wireless charging pad, an electric sunroof, ventilated seats, hill descent control, an air purifier, cooled glove box, and auto headlamps and wipers may also be offered. Its rival, the MG ZS EV, recently received a new range-topping ADAS-equipped variant.
Tata Nexon EV facelift: Range, Battery capacity, and ChargingTata is expected to offer the Nexon EV facelift with an improved electric powertrain, potentially offering better charging capabilities and a slightly increased range. The current Nexon EV Prime has a 30.2kWh battery with up to 312km of range, while the Nexon EV Max features a larger 40.5kWh battery pack with up to 453km of range. Notably, the Max supports 50kW DC fast charging and 7.2kW AC charging.
Tata Nexon EV facelift: PricesThe upcoming Tata Nexon EV is likely to be priced higher than the outgoing models. The current SUV's prices range from Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 19.54 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the new prices to start from around Rs 14.60-14.80 lakh and go up to Rs 19.99 lakh. The Mahindra XUV400 prices range from Rs 15.99 to Rs 19.19 lakh (both ex-showroom), whereas the MG ZS EV is priced between Rs 23.38 lakh and 28 lakh (ex-showroom).
